Computer Guided Implant Dentistry - Getting Started

Learn how to plan your cases with SimPlant® 3D visualization software and SurgiGuide® drill guides. Step by step we will take you through the entire process from scan, to plan, to guide and teach you everything you need to know to get started!

Course Description and Prerequisites

You have little or no experience using SimPlant® 3D digital visualization software and SurgiGuide® drill guides, which accurately transfer your planning onto your patient. Learn to use this technology to your
benefit and still work with your favourite implant brands and scanner. Step by step, we will take you through the entire process from scan, to plan, to guide and teach you everything you need to know to
get started!

Participants master basic computer skills.

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course you will be able to:

  • Assess your patient's anatomy in 3D
  • Read (CB)CT images and navigate between 2D and 3D views
  • Highlight vital structures, such as the alveolar nerve
  • Use the implant library and pre-select your favorite implants
  • Place realistic implants and abutments, and adjust their position
  • View and analyse bone density
  • Know which case requires a tooth-, bone- or mucosa-supported drill guide
